Biography
Laetitia Morais (Paris, 1984) lives in Porto and works in the field of the visual and contemporary arts, with a preference for the use of media, such as video and drawing. The temporality of criticism, artifice and the production of peripheral movements are recurrent motifs in her works, that are arranged in relation to the space where they are produced or exhibited.
She has presented her works in several spaces, including the Ongoing Art Center (Tokyo, Japan); Peacock Art Center (Aberdeen, Scotland); Experimental Intermedia Foundation (New York, USA); Elbphilharmonie (Hamburg, Germany); Galeria Municipal do Porto (Porto, Portugal); CIAJG (Guimarães, Portugal); General Public (Berlin, Germany), Mota Museum (Ljubljana, Slovenia); NYU Art Center (Abu Dhabi, UAE), among many others.
She has worked as a professor at the IPC and the University of Coimbra and is currently a PhD student and a researcher at the Zurich University of Arts and Kunstuniverstät Linz. She is a co-founder of the recent experimental film producer, Laia.
