Biography

Tomás Abreu (Portugal, 1990) works between the disciplines of installation, sculpture, painting, photography and video. His practice evokes questions about temporalities and life on Earth.
He presented the solo projects Eye in the wind, foot in the sea, Appleton Box (Lisbon, Portugal); Third moon, Playlist #40, curated by Nuno Ramalho, at the Café Candelabro (Porto, Portugal); Anachronism non dated, at the Galeria Foco (Lisbon, Portugal); and Eleven saccadic seconds, curated by David Revés, at the Galeria Painel (Porto).
The group exhibitions in which he has participated include Um corpo, um rio, curated by David Revés, at Galeria Liminare (Lisbon, Portugal); 60 days pt I & II, at the Kubikgallery (Porto, Portugal); Anuário 19, at the Palácio das Artes (Porto, Portugal), Inherited margins, curated by José Maia and João Terras, at the Espaço Mira (Porto, Portugal) and After the bang, curated by Tomás Abreu, at Galeria Municipal do Porto (Porto, Portugal).
